Carol Shelton

Coquille Blanc 2018

Paso Robles, CA

This Rhone style blend from Paso Robles is a terrific food worthy wine, especially when paired with shellfish. The wine is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Rousanne, Vigonier, and Marsanne. In the glass, there are notes of pears, white peaches and honeysuckle. In the mouth, it has a great combination of weight and acidity with pear being the most dominant fruit note.

“Carol & Mitch Mackenzie, her husband and business partner, have sought out exceptional vineyards throughout California including Dry Creek Valley, Rockpile, Russian River Valley, Fountaingrove District, Paso Robles, Lodi, Mendocino County, and the Cucamonga Valley of Southern California. Many of her vineyard sources are organically grown, dry farmed and many decades old. She develops close partnerships with each grower to ensure her wines maintain and express the unique terroir of the vineyard.” https://www.carolshelton.com/about-us/
